If you are interested in joining, please contact Chair Margaret de Rouleaux at mder@optonline.net or call the The Jewish Center office at 631-324-9858.

Maureen’s Haven
Maureen’s Haven is an organization that has been providing transportation, logistics support and other social services in Southampton and points west in Suffolk County. In the past, we have been able to provide a warm bed, a hot shower, and dinner, breakfast and a bag lunch for each of our visitors every Saturday night. We have also received scarves from our “knitzvah” project and other donated warm clothing.

Quilting for veterans and the wheelchair-bound
Chair Myrna Weiss invites you to join us at the Jewish Center on the first Tuesday of every month from 10:00-2:00 p.m. to quilt lap blankets for veterans and the wheelchair-bound.

Food pantries and soup kitchens
JCOH is involved in several food pantries and soup kitchens on the east end. We are always looking for volunteers, food and clothing donations.

Gleaning
Every year the Religious School and congregants go to a local farm in Bridgehampton and glean potatoes that are immediately distributed to the local food banks.

Summer Program, Kids Shabbat on the Beach Mitzvah Projects:
Sharing the Spirit of Shabbat
Led by Chair Amanda Salzahuer
Each week we will do a project to benefit people in the East End community. Each weekly project will be “captained” by a family from the JCOH community and our Youth Group members will again be on hand to facilitate and help younger children complete projects.  We are excited to plan the projects for next summer and invite you to participate!
Click here to download the list of dates and projects.

Yard Sale
Our Annual Summer Yard Sale in August raises money to feed the hungry in our community.  We need your clean, pristine kitchenware, tchotchkes, gently worn clothes (no shoes), jewelry, china and backpacks.
