Seeds of Peace Delegates during Shabbat Services

During Shabbat Services congregant Bruce Saber will present to Seeds of Peace delegates.
Representatives from the Middle East and South Asia will speak about their experiences at the Seeds of Peace summer camp and the challenges they faced upon their return to their home countries.
This event is free and all are welcome.
Seeds of Peace is an international organization with offices in New York, Tel Aviv, Ramallah, and Otisfield, Maine. The organization was formed in 1993 and is dedicated to empowering young leaders from regions of conflict with the leadership skills required to advance reconciliation and coexistences. Several of these young leaders will discuss their experiences at the Seeds of Peace summer camp and the challenges they faced upon their return to their home countries.
Over 8,000 young people from across the Middle East, South Asia and the United States have sought to attend the Seeds of Peace International Camp in Maine this summer. From this large applicant pool, 300 have been selected to represent their countries through an extensive series of exams, essays and interviews. All have demonstrated the leadership potential necessary to become future seeds of peace.
