Camp Karole

Camp Karole at The Jewish Center of the Hamptons has been serving the community for 30 years. Children from ages three through eleven are welcome, regardless of religious affiliation. Camp Karole provides a learning and fun environment in which all children can feel safe, special and loved.

Camp Karole offers swimming, swim instruction, sports, drama, music, arts and crafts, and yoga. The Camp also welcomes a guest chef who cooks with the children. Every day is a theme day: backwards day, crazy hat day, scavenger hunt day and birthday day, to name a few. Off campus activities include tennis, bowling, golf and kayaking. Once a week, the older children take day trips. Destinations have included Colonial Day at Deep Hollow Ranch in Montauk, Atlantis MarineWorld in Riverhead and Boomers!. There is a talent show at the end of the first session and the very popular camp carnival at the end of the season. Mid-summer we have Camp Olympics.

Every Friday morning Rabbi Zimmerman and Cantor Stein lead the children in a lively, musical and story-telling Shabbat Service. The camp also sponsors our very popular Shabbat Service on the beach.

Camp offers busing from Southampton with stops in Watermill, Sagaponack, Northwest Woods, and Amagansett. There is always a full time nurse on staff, as well as a nurse, if needed, on field trips.
